Why Warriors Exists

Why Warriors
exists.

We didn't set out to build a school. We set out to build the place we wished existed for our own kids — where elite training, real entrepreneurship, and Christ-centered mentorship aren't three different programs you have to chase across a city.

Behind the Scenes
De’reon Hamilton
De’reon Hamilton
Director of Program Operations & Media

He does the work that rarely shows up in the box score but changes everything for our program. From filming every game to running the clock and scoreboard, to making sure waters and gear are ready, he keeps Warriors Academy running smoothly. Because of him, our players have highlights, stats, and game film to learn from. He’s an essential part of our culture and we’re grateful to have him on our team. Thanks for all you do, De’reon.

The Badge Economy

Earn the Badge.
Teach the Skill.

Badges include passing written and on-court tests, then teaching the skill to a younger Warrior. Mastery comes from teaching. Leadership comes from serving.

This list will grow as the program does.

  • Shooting — pure, accurate, deadly shot-making under pressure.
  • Defense — stop, contest, and dominate the best perimeter scorer.
  • IQ — see more, think faster, win the mental game.
  • Ball Handling — handles tight, defenders lost.
  • Passing — see it, share it, create for others.
  • Finishing — strong finishes at the rim, no mercy.
  • Rebounding — own the glass, own the game.
  • Servant leadership, not seniority — every Warrior earns their place by what they give the room.
How a badge is earned.

Each badge has a written test and an on-court test. When a Warrior passes both, they're certified — and from that point on, they step up as a Big Brother to teach younger Warriors the skill they've earned.
